near Cortona ... continues

Ci siamo lasciati dopo il pranzo dagli amici de " La Bucaccia" a Cortona e, dopo tanto mangiare e gustare, ci siamo recati all'agriturismo " Relais Parco Fiorito " dove avevamo prenotato un percorso benessere con bagno turco, doccia emozionale e sala relax. Beh ci voleva proprio... per rilassarci prima della cena, ovviamente...

The building that houses the farm is really nice and charming, restored and maintained by Roberto Russo who care for family members together in a very passionate and pleasant. The Relais is one of those places where we have dinner together, not just the usual, not!

What do we say to do: Start with a wariness of all those dinners that promises "elbows," "small bites" and "deathly silence" and instead now the atmosphere has become friendly and informal and accomplice in a fireplace "giant" of the series is as big as my kitchen, very familiar.

Roberto's cooking was just as pleasant and entirely centered use of the vegetable production and cultivation of the Relais.

The next day a nice long walk along the lake Trasimeno, Castiglione del Lago, in particular, has enabled us to enjoy this beautiful landscape!

What more if you do not take advantage of these wonderful people and excellent cuisine, which in some restaurants, you can still enjoy!

Weekend in Cortona area

Report of a weekend of relaxation and good food!

few weeks ago we took the opportunity to do a quick relaxing weekend break where you can also benificiare of good food.

A few kilometers from Rome, Tuscany is located in the wonderful Cortona. A beautiful medieval town dominating the Tuscan side of Lake Trasimeno. Wandering through the town we could see a very picturesque views and interesting shops as well as, needless to say, really tasty restaurants.

One in particular struck us before you leave. Through a search on the site throat trip, we noticed this little restaurant that has been achieved by the recovery of the basement of the thirteenth-century Palazzo Cattani, in the historic center.
Here you can enjoy excellent cuisine of Cortona!

We appreciated the careful presentation of the dishes, the refinement of raw materials and their respect in the preparation. Last but not least the familiarity and availability of the owners.
We hope that the photos can convey the care and beauty of the room and not less than the goodness of the dishes cooked by the chef masterfully Agostina. The room is run by the Roman, the husband of Augustine who gives us, with the typical Tuscan friendliness, views and stories of the territory and its products in more research and discovery. What else to say besides Romano Cheese Master!? In other words to "The Bucaccia " We have found exactly what we wanted: traditional cuisine, thoughtful and careful, never too much, run with a rare and topped by a friendly courtesy and sympathy out of the ordinary.
