FORMENTERA TO RUN ... I think perfetta!

A week of vacation and sport, a different way to spend the summer holidays (although a bit 'assets) and to devote time to family, to relax and running!
All this from May 28 to June 4, 2011 on the island of Formentera.

A wonderful holiday of sea, nature and sports paradise in the Mediterranean last FORMENTERA, a small island belonging to the whole of the Balearic Islands, Spain .
It combines a week's holiday a sports program that includes 5 days of racing in the most beautiful island.

The formula is now tested in the first edition of the race, it will be five different tests with each other, distances from all 10/13/9/10/21 km distance on dirt roads and streets secondarie.La overall is about 63 miles to run in 5 days with a day of rest in the middle of the week.

In detail: 1st leg
km 10 El Pilar de la Mola - El Pilar de la Mola path developed in the dirt roads inside the area of the wheel, all contained the famous stone walls. Penetrations of the woods domestic and agricultural areas, an opportunity to meet some of Formentera hardly visited by the marine tourism.

2nd leg Estanis des Peix 13 km - Cala Saona - leaving behind Estanis des Peix Peix pond, gravel roads and light up and down the cliff of Punta Negra, about 3 km of rocky cliff at the bottom to Cala Saona, return to the pool through dirt roads.

3rd stage 9 km Cap de Barbaria Lighthouse - Faro de Cap Barbariapartenza and arrival at the lighthouse in the most beautiful and unspoilt island. Mixed route with about 4 km of asphalt and about 5 km of dirt road, ups and downs continue.
4th stage 10 km Savina - Park Salinas - Playa de ses Illetes - Savina starting near the port of La Savina, crossing a dirt road of the park area of Saline, about 2 km long sandy beach Levante, step inside the salt and dirt still to finish.

21 km 5th stage Sant Francesc - Plaja Mitgjorn - Sa Punta de Fragata - El Pilar de la Mola - Faro the first 5 km of asphalt and gravel secondary to the foot of the mountain ridge of the wheel , a single-track in the tough climb up to El Pilar and the last 2 km on asphalt to the lighthouse.

The route is almost entirely off road and well marked. Refreshments are planned only in the stage of 13 km and 21 km half marathon, so it is required to run with a bottle of water in the life of at least 0.50 cl, the distances are not excessive in seasonal temperatures could be high and create problems for athletes not accustomed to running with the heat.
